Matt Hall by day. M. Henry by night. Matthew Henry Hall to the IRS (and his mother) is also the author of the children's picture book, Phoebe and Chub (Rising Moon), a finalist for a Western Writer of America Storyteller award. For fun and money, he draws cartoons that appear in numerous publications, including The Missouri Review, Inside Higher Ed, and Reader’s Digest. I Will Now Set Myself on Fire, a book of Mr. Hall's cartoons lampooning higher education is due out in 2013.

In October 2012, Mr. Hall's recording of his original story, "What Coyote Brought" was released on "Border Songs," a compilation album featuring work by Pete Seeger, Calexico, Michael Franti, Eliza Gilkyson, Amos Lee and many others. All proceeds benefit the humanitarian aid group, No Mas Muertes/No More Deaths.

Mr. Hall also sings and plays guitar and and has opened shows for Richie Havens and Los Lobos. He also likes brussels sprouts.
